Become a Member
Membership in San Diego Grantmakers (SDG) is available to organizations and individuals whose primary purpose is grantmaking, and who are currently making minimum annual contributions of $25,000 to multiple nonprofit organizations. Once an organization becomes a member, all trustees and employees of that organization are considered members as well, so it is important that we have the contact information of anyone who should have access to member benefits.
SDG members include:
- Community foundations
- Corporate foundations and giving programs
- Family foundations
- Independent foundations
- Operating foundations
- Public foundations
- Giving circles
- Individual philanthropists
- Government and other grantmaking entities

Fundraising Stipulation
Please note: San Diego Grantmakers was developed with the grantmaker, its staff, and trustees in mind so they may talk candidly with peers about the challenges they face. With that in mind, we wish to impress upon those seeking to join who also conduct fundraising that fundraising and marketing are not allowed at any San Diego Grantmakers programs, committee meetings or events.
