| Overview: |
Over the last 2 years the CA regional associations have commissioned the Foundation Center to conduct two studies on diversity in philanthropy in California. The first of these studies was released in June 2008 and examined the extent to which grantmaking by large foundations serves populations of color. The second study, Building Diversity: A Survey of California Foundation Demographics, Policies and Practices, will be released in August. This study reports findings on baseline data from 115 California foundations on the demographic composition of their boards and staffs and on the types of diversity-related data collection and grantmaking in which they are involved. The webinar will feature the Foundation Center's Senior Vice President of Research, Lawrence T. McGill and will include regional association and foundation perspectives on the context and relevance of the study. Registration: Please register by August 10, 2009.
